Sean Lindsay: Giving Back to the Cotsen Community

With 26 years of experience in education, Sean Lindsay continues to make a profound impact on the Cotsen community. A former teacher at Alvarado Elementary School, Sean spent 16 years inspiring students, serving as a Cotsen mentor for four of those years. During his time at Alvarado, he founded the Writing institute that eventually led to the development of the Reading Institute, helping shape the literacy practices of teachers and students alike.

After transitioning to leadership roles as an Assistant Principal and Principal, Sean’s dedication to supporting educators remained strong. Now, with Momentum in Teaching, he trains and coaches teachers and administrators in reading and writing workshops, balanced literacy, CGI, and instructional leadership. His recent blog post on Substack, “The Authority of the Co-Learner,” highlights his continued commitment to educational growth and his ongoing efforts to give back to the Cotsen community.

Sean’s work is a testament to the power of mentorship and the lasting impact educators can have. We are proud to have him as part of the Cotsen family! Read his latest insights here.
